CREEC offers a nearby outing built around nature, play and learning. The education centre has a nocturnal room, interactive displays and a native stingless beehive. Outside, visitors can explore the sensory garden, playgrounds and walking trail.
The centre and grounds have different hours
Council lists the education centre as open Tuesday to Friday, 9am–3pm, excluding public holidays. School excursions can also affect morning access during term time, so confirm before travelling specifically for the indoor displays.
The grounds can be visited during daylight hours throughout the week. A weekend visit to the playground does not mean the education centre will be open.
Plan a picnic or a walk
Barbecue and picnic facilities are available in the grounds. These spaces cannot be booked. Dogs are not permitted, apart from service dogs.
The café has separate, limited operating times. Check its current schedule on Council’s page if refreshments are part of your plans.
